The spa pool at Whittlebury Hall Hotel

Just before Christmas Space In Your Case had the BEST team meeting ever! Since our launch, at World Travel Market, a few weeks ago, we’d been trying to get a date in the diary for all four of us to raise a glass and toast our new venture, but had just been too busy to coincide. Whittlebury Hall Hotel and Spa put an end to all that when they offered to host our latest meeting in their beautiful spa. Here’s what we loved about our stay there:

The Sparkle!

Santa snowglobe

Whittlebury Hall know how to put on a good Christmas! From this gorgeous Santa on the check-in desk, who lights up and throw snowflakes around, to the myriad of Christmas trees and sparkly reindeer, this is a hotel that really does Christmas. And that’s no mean feat – with hundreds of bedrooms, restaurants, and the spa itself, Whittlebury is an enormous venue, but every little corner was filled with a festive touch that really started the Christmas season for me. There’s nothing better than a twinkly light!

Catching up on the gossip with the girls!

As a large hotel and conference centre Whittlebury can provide lots of spa facility for your money. It also knows exactly how to provide the space a team or gang of friends needs to just be themselves. We might have been too giggly for the Whisper room, but there was so much room to just hang out comfortably, without feeling we were being too chatty or taking over, or missing out on the most chilled out corners, both in the spa and in the hotel itself.  It’s central location also makes it a great place to catch up with friends who are spread around the country. We enjoyed prosecco and the most delicious gingerbread muffins in the health club area of the spa, and in the evening, our three course meal in Astons restaurant was tasty. In particular, I’d recommend the scallops and pork starter, and the lemon meringue dessert. My only criticism? I ate too much! I could easily have stopped after two courses, but my greed pushed me to eat more! The breakfast buffet, the next morning, was standard hotel fare with large ‘help yourself’ buffet tables (I always prefer cooked to order brekkie – does that make me a snob?) but set us up perfectly for the day ahead.

The chance to Relax and Refresh

Being a busy working Mum, the days often blur into one – nursery runs, play dates, working around my daughters and going here there and everywhere.  I loved the chance to ‘switch off’- as soon as we arrived at Whittlebury Hall you could almost hear the sigh of contentment.  Spa Days are such a treat to spend time with friends, have a natter and relax in the amazing experience rooms.  Whittlebury Hall had these in abundance with a range of heat and ice experiences, plus the most gorgeous quiet area with water beds and fish tank tables.  Being able to sit and have a deliciously tasty muffin, a glass of prosecco while we put the world to rights was just what I needed.  I always come back from spa days feeling refreshed and energised to work harder- it was the perfect ‘business’ meeting spot for Space In Your Case!
