Ah the elusive family holiday. As parents we know that finding a hotel that caters for everyone in the family is a somewhat tricky task. But it comes down to one thing- if the kids are happy then the parents are happy, it’s a win win situation. And that’s where Ikos Resorts comes in.
Ikos Resorts bring a new era of hospitality to the Mediterranean. Two luxury resorts, Ikos Oceania and the new Ikos Olivia, both  in stunning natural locations, where elegance is omnipresent, yet understated. Where luxury all inclusive holidays are redefined. Where there is indeed something for everyone.

Here are 5 Reasons why Ikos Oceania is so good for kids and parents alike…

1. There’s a dedicated childcare service

There’s activities and childcare for everyone at Ikos Oceania, from teeny tiny babies through to teens. The kids clubs are run by Worldwide Kids Company, a professional UK based company with the highest qualified staff and training. The kids club facilities are indeed huge, with a few different rooms catering to different age groups. The toys are spotlessly clean and there is so much for them to do. And of course childcare is included in the price of your trip if the kids are over four- there’s a small charge for under 4’s. There’s also a programme of fun activities available for children to do, including arts and crafts, water sports, cooking and games.

2. There’s an indoor and outdoor play area

Chances are when you are in beautiful Greece the weather will be gloriously sunny. But even if it isn’t fear not, Ikos Oceania has got a lovely indoor soft play area. Now as any parent of young children will know, soft play zones in the UK are generally a bit of a nightmare. Not at Oceania. The soft play is surprisingly big, clean and lots of fun indeed. The only problem is we bet your children will want to go in it even when the weather is nice, it’s a perfect place to escape for a bit of shade and a cool down. There’s also a lovely outdoor play area as well.

3. Swim, Swim, Swim!

Realistically when you go on a sunshine holiday, really the only thing you need is a pool. And Ikos Oceania has pools in abundance. From the beautiful infinity pool, to the indoor pool, to a specialist kids pool, there really is no excuse not to get your cossies on and go for a dip. Kids will love splashing about all day long. Even though the pool looks the ultimate in luxury, it really is so child friendly.

4. Sandcastle building

Aside from sunshine and swimming what else do children want when they go away? That’s right- a beach. As long as there is somewhere to make sandcastles then that’s the holiday fun sorted. Ikos Oceania is situated right on the beach, nestled into a cliff top. The resort boasts beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea and the sandy beach is perfect for playing on. There is also the added bonus of a dedicated childcare service down on the beach, meaning that for up to half an hour (in peak season) you can leave your children in the care of staff while you go and grab some well needed sun lounger time or a quick bite to eat. There’s waiter service down on the beach (and at the pool too) so you can rest assured that nothing will interrupt your sandcastle building time!

5. Food

Often you find at certain hotels that they have a slightly dodgy ‘kids menu’, full of bland, beige food or frozen chicken nuggets. Not at Ikos Oceania. There are five restaurants and a dine out option as well. Kids are more than welcome in all the restaurants and bar areas, bar the adults only bar. There really is something for even the most fussiest of eaters, with a huge range of dishes available, including a la carte and buffet dining options. And the yummiest desserts you could imagine. (tip- try the Nutella ice cream dessert in the Ouzo restaurant- we can guarantee your kids will love it!)
